Retreat aims to provide delicious, seasonal, nutrient dense food that tastes indulgent but is kind to your body, nurtures your gut-biomes and importantly, sustains and fuels you throughout your day. 

Retreat is the brain child of Ursula Lake, a naturopathic vegan chef who trained and qualified at the London College of Naturopathic Medicine. She is passionate about all aspects of a healthy, holistic lifestyle but is particularly interested in the connection between the gut and the mind and so aims to nurture both a healthy body and mind through nutritionally sound food.

Before training as a chef, Ursula worked as fashion editor, travelling the world creating fashion shoots for numerous international magazines and clients, so she has an eye for detail. She has transferred these skills to her cooking and so aims to create colourful, vibrant food that looks as good as it tastes.

Retreat is passionate about creating nutritionally dense food that supports your body's daily functions to assist your body to ward off future illness and help to combat stress and fatigue.

With this in mind, each meal is carefully considered and prepared to give you the right balance of nutrients, slow release energy for your day, support your natural detoxification and digestive processes and to work in harmony with your endocrine system. Each dish is packed with carefully sourced ingredients, super-foods and most of all, flavour.
